This winter we are constructing some all-weather pitches at Stowford. We have had hardstanding touring pitches on our site for many years but these just have tarmac for your caravan, and grass for the awning and car – so in very wet conditions the grass areas can sometimes get muddy.
Our new all-weather pitches will have a gravel base and kerbing to help keep your awning mud free even in very wet weather conditions. They will be made on our existing ‘Premier pitches’ (which also have tap and drainage for you to connect to) and they will have tarmac for your caravan or motorhome with an area of gravel next to it for your awning to go out onto.
On our price list for 2018 you will see these listed as ‘All-weather pitch (with tap and drainage)’ as we are no longer going to offer Premier pitches. At the moment we are still only charging £2 extra on top of the hardstanding charge, but when they are all completed the price will be as published in the price list (£4 more than the hardstanding charge).
We are experimenting with different sizes and different types of gravel/chippings so please let us know any feedback you may have on email@example.com
Have a look at some of the work-in-progress photos below to see the pitches we are creating.
