It’s calming down after a brilliant weekend here, and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone that made it so memorable. Here is a round-up of some of the things that were happening over the weekend for those of you that couldn’t make it:
Yesterdays Caravans touring group were staying with their vintage caravans, it was great to see these cute little caravans still going strong! Taw Ford and County Garage were here as usual with their vehicles, always happy to chat and give advice and useful information, we also had a new tent display this year from Devon Outdoor and Camping at Trelawny. The vintage cars and tractors were on show, the tractor run proving a hit with the children, as did the bouncy castle and sweetie stall! AFS fire and security were here giving out valuable safety information, and we even had a visit from the Fire Engine and Fire Brigade from Combe Martin. And we just couldn’t resist having our photo taken in the Sinclair C5’s!
Up in the Caravan Sales area we had the free BBQ, drinks and doughnuts – in total we went through 1100 burgers and 800 sausages over the weekend! Donations for food and drinks raised lots of money for the North Devon Chemotherapy Appeal so thanks everyone!
The music this weekend was provided by Tiverton Town Band on Saturday, and The Old Gaffers sea shanty singers on Sunday, both of which were very entertaining! Also in and around the marquee were various local stalls, including Barton Farm Dairy, Tru-pets and our very own Cow Shed Store. Jay the Clown was entertaining the kids (and adults) all weekend!
The New Bailey Caravan and Motorhome launch went very well, with lots of interest in the new Autograph Motorhome, and the new Bailey Unicorn Vigo and Cordoba models. The Caravan Sales forecourt is looking rather empty now, a sign of a successful event! The motorhomes are now on their way to Stowford South Wales in preparation for their ‘Big Weekend’ this weekend 28th and 29th September, more details to be posted about this soon…
