History of Stowford Bars

Once Stowford Farm Meadows had opened as a caravan and camping site, it was obvious that a variety of different facilities were going to be needed. Amongst these were the Old Stable Bar, which was converted from, you guessed it, the farm’s old stables!

Before the swimming pool was built, the area in front of the Old Stable Bar was an open playing field where people would often congregate. The Lounge Bar extension was built in 1984. I wonder how many customers can remember Norman Watts who used to run the Bars, and of course our very own Clare Etheridge who now resides in Reception and oversees our Caravan Storage facility? You might recognise someone else too!
